With its good location in central Valais and wide range of first-class aggregates for concrete and road surfaces, this Volken Group plant is the perfect partner for customers in Upper and Lower Valais. The extracted aggregates are used to produce various types of concrete at the concrete plant.

Producing gravel & concrete since 1983
Pfyn has a long tradition of gravel extraction. Volken Group has been at work here since 1999, producing sand, gravel, crushed gravel and various types of concrete. Decades of experience and certified quality management guarantee first-class construction materials.
A long arm can reach the best materials
The Volvo EC 480 EL, a large excavator in a class of its own, scoops the raw materials directly from the Rhône using its long excavator arm. The material is later precrushed, washed and sieved into different fractions at the gravel plant to produce high-quality sand and gravel. As the plant is located in a Pfyn conservation area, the impact on the surrounding nature is reduced as far as possible. We have been successful in this respect; Volken Group was awarded a quality label by the Swiss Nature and Economy Foundation for its nature-oriented approach.
Our own concrete plant in Central Valais
The fact that the plant is located between Sierre and Salgesch allows us to deliver PC and structural concrete to customers in both Upper and Lower Valais using short transport routes.
