Our teams consist of people from all over the world who work hand in hand with one another.
In the same year that the world's first daily newspaper was published in Leipzig and Rembrandt painted the Man with the Golden Helmet, a Spycher was built in Reckingen. No wonder, then, that the ravages of time have also taken their toll on this stable from 1650. The historic building has now been renovated by the Volken Group - strictly in accordance with the specifications of the Heritage Society. First, the 20-ton structure was supported with four steel girders, raised by around 20 cm on the east side and realigned. Our specialists then underpinned the lower part of the barn, which stood on an unstable natural stone wall, stage by stage. This required 30 cubic meters of concrete. The Spycher now stands on a solid foundation again and bears witness to the Valais building tradition.
We would like to thank the Widmer family for the job!
