A foundation shows strength: Portal West Riedberg Tunnel A9.

In order to complete the A9, the west portal of the Riedberg tunnel also has to be built. The Volken Group is supplying and placing around 205 m3 of concrete for this structure - using a truck-mounted concrete pump and its 36 m-long placing booms. The challenge here is the single-sided formwork: it has to absorb the entire concrete pressure, which is distributed over two sides in other structures with double-sided formwork.
