A new phase of life without excavators: Beat Garbely retires

"Big machines are my passion," revealed newly retired Beat Garbely, who recently retired after 37 years as a machine operator at the Volken Group. "I worked with all kinds of excavators, but I was particularly fond of the Volvo 210." Apparently Beat was also able to get two of his sons interested in the construction industry and the Volken Group. "I particularly liked the great team, the challenging environment and the well-maintained machinery. I will always remember two projects: the avalanche dam in Blitzingen and the Hohtenn extinguishing water basin." The Volken Group wishes the energetic retiree all the best and thanks him for his loyalty and commitment.
