We have well-established safety measures in place to protect our employees and the environment.
Construction tradesmen are specialists who are in demand. John Zengaffinen, who started his apprenticeship at the Volken Group this year, knows that too. "I chose this profession because I enjoy working outside. After work, you can see what you've done. But what I like best is working in a team and mastering challenges together." Training to become an EBA construction tradesman is as varied as the occupational field. It starts with preparing, setting up and securing the construction site, then moves on to digging, backfilling, shuttering and masonry, and finally to renovation and demolition. John Zengaffinen also learns how to maintain tools and machines, work safely and dispose of waste in an environmentally friendly manner. If you want to do the two-year apprenticeship, you should be handy, physically fit, have a head for heights and, of course, be weatherproof.
