Clear sailing on the A9: New asphalt between Raron and Visp

After a construction period of around four months, the Volken Group reached another milestone in June for the Raron-Visp section of the freeway. The logistical challenge was mastered by the team. Semi-trailers with an impressive capacity of up to 28 tons were used for transport. The asphalt was placed efficiently with 2 to 4 asphalt pavers operating simultaneously. Using the latest technology, grade was continuously monitored to ensure the highest precision. The quality of the project was ensured by continuous inspections. External as well as internal laboratories constantly monitored standards to ensure that all requirements were met.
