Flood protection Baltschiederbach

The existing protective dam in Baltschieder is being extended by the Volken Group. The retention volume of the basin will be increased from the current 40,000 to a total of 130,000 cubic meters. To achieve this, the dam wall is to be raised, the channel widened and the culvert near the cantonal road significantly extended. Climbing formwork will be used to raise the dam. The material for backfilling the dam was processed directly on site. The expansion of the dam and the widening of the channel will protect the population of Baltschieder from flooding and debris.
