Full speed ahead: Luca Rieder is heading for his future.

"Being on the road and having such a large vehicle under control is one thing, maintaining a truck and seeing how it works is another," says Luca Rieder, who has started his first year of training as an EFZ road transport specialist at the Volken Group. Sitting in the cockpit is by no means all he will learn in three years. Of course, a driver should arrive at their destination safely and on time. But he also needs to know how to organize transports, plan routes and estimate the time needed for loading and unloading, how to handle transport documents, operate the tachograph correctly and much more. Regardless of whether he is transporting fresh concrete along mountain roads, driving through Switzerland in a trailer train or delivering delicate goods. If he is independent, reliable and flexible on the road, many paths are open to him. We wish Luca an exciting apprenticeship and a safe, accident-free journey at all times.
