Keeping groundwater in check: Infiltration basin near Raron

Close to the SBB line and the A9 near Raron, the Volken Group is building an infiltration basin to prevent groundwater seepage - in cooperation with 3dMetall AG. For this contract from the canton of Valais, several sheet piling boxes were first constructed, then the excavation pit was dug and the dewatering system installed using pump sumps. The settling basin is currently being built in in-situ concrete.
