Recently, a report on Kanal 9 was dedicated to the renovation project of the Illas Bridge, better known as the Killerhof Bridge. One focus was on the construction of the scaffolding. This bridge, a landmark of the region, was built in 1959 and requires extensive renovation, which is expected to be completed by the end of November 2024. The assembly of the suspended scaffolding weighing 128 tons at a height of 150 meters was a particular challenge, as traffic continued to flow during this phase and the 23,500 scaffolding parts had to be carried over a distance of 130 meters. We would like to thank Kanal 9 for this informative report.
