The car-free Bettmeralp attracts tourists from all over the world. They all appreciate the picturesque chalets, the lively village center and the fantastic mountain landscape. The Volken Group is currently building two new chalets here. However, transporting the building materials up to 1970 m above sea level is time-consuming: All the raw materials arrive by cable car and are transported to the site together with a team from Margelisch Transport GmbH, where the concrete for the foundations and walls is also mixed. The Imhof chalet and its 100 m3 of concrete require 400 m2 of wall formwork and 90 m3 of facing formwork, plus 80 m2 of brickwork. The same amount of concrete will be used in Chalet Mattig, with 450 m3 of wall formwork and 60 m3 of facing formwork. After this work, both new buildings will be completed in solid and timber construction. Holzbau Kämpfen GmbH and Holzbau Zeiter AG will be responsible for the cladding, while our specialists will erect the scaffolding.
