Bettmeralp

Living in a vacation village: Two new chalets make it possible.

The car-free Bettmeralp attracts tourists from all over the world. They all appreciate the picturesque chalets, the lively village center and the dreamlike mountain landscape. The Volken Group is currently building two new chalets here. However, the transport of the building materials at 1970 m above sea level is complex: All the raw material arrives by cable car and is transported to the site together with a team from Margelisch Transport GmbH, where the concrete for the foundations and walls is also mixed. For Chalet Imhof and its 100 m3 of concrete, 400 m2 of wall formwork and 90 m3 of face formwork are required, plus 80 m2 of masonry. The same amount of concrete will be used in Chalet Mattig, where the wall formwork comprises 450 m3 and the face formwork 60 m3. After this work, both new buildings will be completed in solid and timber construction. The cladding will be done by Holzbau Kämpfen GmbH and Holzbau Zeiter AG, and the scaffolding will be erected by our specialists.
