MGB deposit Glisergrund

The Matterhorn Gotthard Railway is comprehensively modernising its vehicle fleet in the coming years. By 2023, twelve new "Orion" standard multiple-unit trains will be ordered, followed by a further 18 multiple-unit trains by 2028. This development requires extensive adjustments to the workshops and depots in Glisergrund. In addition to the expansion of the existing halls, a new washing facility will also be built and the entire track field will be renewed. Before the track field and the overhead lines can be renewed, the shafts and pipe blocks must first be rebuilt. As with all track construction work, safety has top priority. In order to ensure this and to avoid disrupting the ongoing operations of the MGB, good coordination with the client is the be-all and end-all. The Volken Group would like to thank the client for their trust and is looking forward to taking on this challenge.
