More snow on Riederalp? We are working on that, too.

Snow reliability used to be a thing of the past - even at 1900 meters above sea level. That's why our construction company is currently expanding the snowmaking system on Riederalp. The project is being actively supported by employees of Riederalpbahnen. First, we are excavating a 2.4 km long trench by machine, into which an excavator will later insert cast iron pipes. Then our civil engineers insert 32 3-part concrete shafts. Once this work is done, the trench is backfilled with earth material. This lays the foundation for those slopes that will attract snow sports enthusiasts of all kinds next winter.
