More snow on the Riederalp? We're working on that too.

Once upon a time, snow was guaranteed - even at 1900 meters above sea level. That's why our construction company is currently expanding the snowmaking system on the Riederalp. The project is being actively supported by employees of Riederalpbahnen. First, we are excavating a 2.4 km long trench by machine, into which an excavator will later insert cast iron pipes. Our civil engineers then install 32 3-part concrete shafts. Once this work has been completed, the trench is backfilled with earth. This lays the foundation for the slopes that will attract snow sports enthusiasts of all kinds next winter.
