Storm clean-up work: We tackle the job together

Over the past few days, the Volken Group has been working intensively on clearing up after the storms. At MGBahn in particular, work is being or has been carried out at six different locations to restore badly damaged tracks and roadways. One example of our work was the rapid repair in Selkingen: There, we cleared the track section of debris, diverted the stream to its source, removed the tracks, renewed the substructure, built a mast foundation, two new shafts and a pipe block - in which the existing cables were laid - and the Rhomberg Sersa Group re-laid the tracks. This work was completed in just five days, allowing the MGBahn to resume operations from Fiesch yesterday. During this challenging time, we used our size and flexibility to help quickly and efficiently.
