Sustainable construction: Blatten drinking water reservoir

The temporary bridges for the access road to the construction site and the excavation were already completed in 2023. This year, the building shell is due to be completed so that the new water reservoir can be finished in 2025. The specialists from the Volken Group blasted around 9500 m3 of rock for the reservoir, using a special drilling rig among other things. In order to make the project as sustainable as possible, 2000 m3 of this raw material was processed into sand and gravel on site using a crushing plant.
