Taking preventive action: Flood protection Tschingelbach.

Where the Tschingelbach flows through Niedergampel and joins the Rhone, the Volken Group is working on urgently needed flood protection until summer 2024. Several new structures are being built in the red and blue danger zones above and below the cantonal road. These include a larger debris collector, new embankment walls on both sides, controlled flooding areas and renaturation with large stones and a pond. Particular attention is being paid to using as much locally sourced material as possible instead of disposing of it.
