The Volken Group keeps traffic rolling throughout Valais - including Bitsch. So that the subsidiary Voweg can get off to a better start, our own specialists carefully carried out all the preparatory work. The master builders demolished the old pavement and laid the kerbstones. They then applied a layer of fine gravel evenly over the entire road to even out the rough gravel. Voweg's actual work began with the asphalt base course. It assumes the load-bearing function in the road superstructure and consists of a coarse-grained asphalt mixture. Produced using the hot-mix method, it is laid hot and then compacted with a roller. The asphalt binder course is laid on top of this base course to even out any unevenness. Two trucks were used to transport the surface.
