All lorries are connected to a modern logistics system, which saves time and is environmentally friendly.
Volken Group's lorry-mounted and truck mixer concrete pumps make the work on a construction site noticeably simpler, easier and more efficient. In a short period of time, we can deliver a significant cubic content of concrete for floor slabs, ceilings and walls. This is one of Volken Group's core competencies. We have been specialised in the production and delivery of pumped concrete since 1979.
To ensure that the concrete plant and construction site work hand in hand, our specialists operate highly modern truck mixer and lorry-mounted concrete pumps. Even when there is limited space available on the construction site, Volken Group is perfectly prepared. Our concrete pumps can pump concrete into a building via a boom of up to 45 metres in length. If longer distances need to be covered, additional pipe and tube extensions can be used.
When it comes to pumped concrete, Franz-Josef Volken was a true pioneer in the Upper Valais area. Back then, he founded the company Pumpbeton Volken AG and expanded his vehicle fleet to include a concrete pump and two additional concrete mixers. Thanks to this revolutionary technology, three people could deliver 6 cubic metres of concrete within 5 minutes. This method caught on and was adopted by many other companies. Pumped concrete was such a success that it laid the foundation for the future development of Volken Group. Over the years, the construction company continued to grow and various gravel and concrete plants, as well as reloading sites, were added in the basin of the valley.
The K45H lorry-mounted concrete pump from CIFA is the largest in our vehicle fleet. Its placing boom with five sections can reach heights of up to 45 m and has a horizontal reach of almost 40 m. To ensure that the permissible gross vehicle weight of a four-axle lorry is not exceeded, the last two sections of the placing boom are made of light CARBOTECH, a composite material made of carbon fibres. In addition, the compact wheelbase allows the four-axle lorry to maneuver exceptionally well. With its theoretical pump capacity of up to 160 m³ and a delivery pressure of 80 bar, large building components such as floor slabs and ceilings can be easily concreted.
It would not be very efficient or sensible to take two lorries to a construction site for smaller concrete deliveries. At Volken Group, two truck mixer concrete pumps - so-called PUMIs - take on this job. Their drums may hold less concrete, but concrete pumps with placing booms are also on board. Thanks to this clever all-in-one solution, for smaller orders, fresh concrete can be delivered up to 28 m in a horizontal direction.
Our drivers and their concrete pumps are ready to serve you and assist you with your projects year in, year out. They deliver to countless construction sites throughout Valais and deliver the required quantities of concrete to large and small construction sites. We would be delighted to serve you in future - with high-quality liquid concrete for constructions of all kinds.
