Project description:
The "Raspille confluence" project provides for the reactivation of the old arm of the Rhone. For this purpose, the existing flood protection dam is to be moved back. The Raspille watercourse will be revitalized by means of a meander within water protection zone S3. In order to restore longitudinal connectivity and fish passability, the sill at the mouth will be removed and the bed of the Raspille will be lowered to the new meander. This deepening lies within water protection zone S2. All removal and filling work was carried out using 3D excavators.
Requirements:
- Hydraulic engineering
- Short construction time
- Water protection zone S2 / S3
