Object description:

The heavily used object was replaced by the Volken Group - with a 50 cm thick bridge slab and a new alignment for the wider road. To ensure that traffic can run smoothly until completion in June, a single-lane temporary structure is being built for the stream crossing. Underneath, the water flows through 130 m long pipelines with inlet and control shafts. The shoring is being provided by Volken Gerüstbau AG, and the surfacing work is being carried out by the Volken Group's surfacing division. The project requires 1500 m3 of material to be removed and 270 m3 of cast-in-place concrete and 25 t of reinforcement to be placed. Two excavators with 33 and 8 tons respectively and small dumpers are in use. Caution is required every day, as the work is partly carried out in water, and natural hazards such as a sudden swelling of the Turtmänna can never be completely ruled out.

Special requirements:

  • Complex bridge formwork
  • No parking base in the water
  • Small installation area
  • Traffic
  • Flood hazard
  • Work next to and in the water
  • Narrow access with semitrailer truck
