A bridge project picks up speed: renovation of the Fura Bridge

The preparatory work has been completed - now the actual renovation of the Fura bridge on the A9 near Simplon Dorf begins. The severely damaged bridge has only been open to one lane of traffic since June 2021. In order to maintain the flow of traffic, a temporary bypass with a 30-metre-long temporary bridge was built in 2022 - planned and implemented by the Volken Group.
A visible sign of the start of construction: the crane is in place. It marks the start of the repair of the bridge, which is crucial for traffic safety in the Simplon region.
