Building a protective embankment with a crawler excavator? Compacting road pavement with a roller? Or tearing down buildings up to 23 meters high with a high-reach demolition excavator? Maybe one day Fabrice will be operating a heavy construction machine from the Volken Group, too. His apprenticeship as a mason (EFZ) is certainly paving the way for him to do so. “I naturally love being outdoors, so this is a perfect fit for me—especially when it comes to working as a tradesperson in a well-coordinated team.” When his three-year basic training ends in 2023, a wide range of opportunities in the construction industry will open up for him. He can train to become a construction equipment operator, become a foreman, or, for example, advance to a site manager.
