Demolition of the Lonza bridge
The Cheer pedestrian bridge is currently being dismantled - a piece of history is giving way to something new. The existing bridge material is being carefully sorted and recycled.
By the end of September, a modern bridge made of exposed concrete will be built in the same place - robust, contemporary and ready for future generations of hikers and locals.
