Diversity from the first brick: Apprentice bricklayer Leon Garbely.

"A profession as a craftsman with a lot of variety has always been my dream," says Leon Garbely. He is completing his third year of apprenticeship as an EFZ bricklayer with the Volken Group and is currently working on the Litterna construction site in Visp. Here and elsewhere, activities of all kinds are opening up for him. Whether reading construction plans or working on the planning, whether setting up construction sites, digging trenches, laying pipes and lines or preparing formwork: The day-to-day work as a mason is varied and also includes work with concrete, bricks and mortar, with prefabricated building elements, insulation and plastering. A wide variety of tools and machines are used here as well as in deconstruction, renovation or repair work. All in all, it's an exciting environment in which Leon will be working until he completes his apprenticeship in 2023.
We are happy to support him after his apprenticeship and wish him only the best for the future!
