Free ride through the Valais: We lead the way.

The Volken Group is currently shaping a section of the A9: Between the covered cut near Raron and the Visp West junction, we are creating a route for the Valais highway. To ensure that everything runs smoothly even before regular traffic starts, we are putting the pedal to the metal on two long and challenging kilometers. Several 10,000 cubic meters of soil are being removed and replaced with suitable cofferdam material. To prevent excessive dust emissions, we are watering the construction site with a tanker. For the highway infrastructure, our road builders are laying 14 km of pipes and 1.5 km of service lines. In addition to 75 new inlet and inspection shafts, they are also constructing a wildlife culvert and completing the project by laying the multi-layer surface.
