Glass for all of Europe: New logistics hall for Univerre AG

Whether bottles, jars or glass packaging:  Univerre AG in Sierre develops, produces and distributes glass products of all kinds for business customers throughout Europe. In 2021, the Volken Group, together with partner companies, constructed a new 2100 m2 logistics building with three floors. The excavation of 3000 m3 was carried out by a 30 t excavator. The cast-in-place concrete from Volken Beton and the prefabricated concrete elements such as ceiling slabs and stairs from MC Prefabbricati had to be installed with a perfect fit. In addition to scaffolding from Volken Gerüstbau, a mobile truck-mounted crane and a tower crane were also used for this purpose. XL Betonage winged the concrete slabs and Spahiu laid the iron reinforcement. All in all, it was a complex project with elaborate logistics, which, with slabs and wall heights of up to 9 m, was also a challenge in terms of occupational safety.
