Project description:
In the Hilpersbach relocation and expansion project, four earth-reinforced avalanche control dams were built to protect against natural hazards. The average 7.00m-high guide dams were backfilled in layers with added or extracted fill material. Parallel to the backfilling work, 190m of the existing Hilpersbach was diverted and redesigned. An inlet structure was built adjacent to the new channel. A new drainage structure was built adjacent to an archaeological area.
