Project description:
In the Hilpersbach relocation and expansion project, four earth-reinforced avalanche control dams were built to protect against natural hazards. The average 7.00m-high guide dams were backfilled in layers with added or extracted fill material. Parallel to the backfilling work, the existing Hilpersbach was diverted and redesigned over a length of 190m. An inlet structure was built adjacent to the new channel. A new drainage structure was built adjacent to an archaeological area.
Requirements:
- Excavation in an archaeological area
- Nature conservation area, environmental regulations
- Difficult to access terrain
