Making space for something new: Demolition of the Walka school building

The Volken Group is currently demolishing the Walka school building in Zermatt in a second stage and excavating the construction pit for the new building. The demolition specialists are using an excavator with a bolt height of approx. 15 meters. An ideal machine for the narrow access road, the limited space and the ongoing school operations in the adjacent building: thanks to the hydraulically adjustable undercarriage, the excavator width can be limited to 3 m, the excavator can also be used for earthworks with the changeable arm and the noise is reduced with the concrete biter and pulverizer. The demolition material is sorted on site by machine and by hand and then disposed of professionally.
