More capacity in an emergency: reservoir expansion

To ensure that the municipality of Bettmeralp is not left without water in the event of drought or fire, the Volken Group is helping to enlarge the existing reservoir. In cooperation with the companies Rudaz + Partner, Imwinkelried & Söhne AG, Metallbau Heinzen Gmbh and Gombau AG, the new "Chüeställi" reservoir with a capacity of 912 m3 will be built by next November, 100 to 150 m3 of which can be used as a reserve of extinguishing water. The new basin is around 18 m higher than the existing one and will therefore build up enough pressure to guarantee the water supply.
