We have well-established safety measures in place to protect our employees and the environment.
Construction work for the complete renovation of the station in Lax has been underway since May. On behalf of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway, the platform facilities, parking lots and access to the station are being rebuilt. The work is currently being carried out during ongoing operations. However, access to the platforms and trains will still be guaranteed. A total closure will then take place between 25.10 and 14.11. During these three weeks, the entire track system at the station will be renewed and a pedestrian underpass will be built. The aim of the renovation is to make Lax station safer with the pedestrian underpass and to make access to the trains more accessible for the disabled by adapting the platforms.
