The location
Fiesch is a municipality with around 900 inhabitants and is very well developed for tourism. The Fiesch public transport hub was only built in 2019. The public transport hub, which is regarded as the project of the century in the region, combines the public transport services of the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway with the Aletsch Bahnen. It takes just 8 minutes to get to the Fiescheralp in the middle of the Aletsch Bahnen ski area. This infrastructure project has further boosted tourism in the municipality. Just a 5-minute walk from the public transport hub is the Rondo office building, which is located directly on the busy Furkastrasse. Migros is also located on the floor below the store.
