Property description:
As part of the construction of the four-lane A9 national highway from Siders to Brig, the existing Basperstrasse will be relocated to make way for the Raron covered cutting and the planned compensation measures, and will be rebuilt. During the construction of the new road, numerous utility and water pipes will be laid to connect the Raron covered cutting. As the new road cannot be built until the Raron airfield is no longer in use or the western section of the covered cutting has been completed, the construction of the utility and water pipes will be brought forward and put out to tender in a separate lot. This will ensure that the covered cutting is accessible.
