5.5 meters of protection - exactly where it is needed most!

The storms of June 2024 hit Saas-Grund hard. It was therefore clear to us that we had to act quickly! Safety was our top priority, because every detail counts after such events.

The right-hand rockfall protection dam was in urgent need of reinforcement. Our #TeamVolken not only rebuilt it, but also raised it to an impressive 5.50 meters - for maximum protection of the underlying infrastructure. It was particularly advantageous that most of the required material was already available on site. This enabled us to act quickly and effectively, even under the challenging conditions.

This operation in Saas-Grund is a strong example of how foresighted planning, the clever use of local resources and a dedicated team can make all the difference when every hour counts. It's more than just a dam - it's a piece of safety for the region.
