A team player breaks new ground: retirement of Gabriel Wyssen

Gabriel Wyssen worked in construction for 45 years. After his apprenticeship and several years with Peter Ruppen, this company was integrated into the Volken Group in 2000, to which Gabriel remained loyal for a proud 24 years. Now the universally respected foreman is going into well-deserved retirement. He has special memories of the public transport hub in Fiesch and the Moosfluh gondola lift project (2333 m above sea level) on the Riederalp. "I particularly liked a lot of things - the collegial atmosphere in the team and the good relationship with my superiors, working independently, the modern fleet and the openness to new technologies such as GPS and more," he says with a smile and a tear in his eye. The Volken Group wishes Gabriel, a loyal team player, all the best and much joy in his new phase of life.
