Casermetta Alpine Gallery: Special scaffolding as an important support for the renovation.

The national road at Casermetta above Gondo, on the way to the Simplon, is very busy. By 2025, the 280-metre-long section of the Alpine Gallery will be comprehensively repaired on behalf of the Federal Roads Office FEDRO - with a new bridge deck and renovation work on the outside. The Volken Group's scaffolding specialists are making an important contribution to this. They erected 145 tons of all-round scaffolding and 64 tons of lightning scaffolding in difficult-to-access terrain and in all weathers. The combined, modular solution from Layher was assembled efficiently and safely using a crane from the heavy-duty platform. It ensures a smooth renovation and at the same time provides stable support for the roadway.
