Counteracting flooding: protective structures in beds.

It's (almost) done! Since October 2024, the Volken Group specialists have been working flat out to repair the access road to Nussbaum in Betten. During the storms in June 2024, the Rotten moved around 25,000 m3 of stones and earth. Within three months, the necessary construction material for the new flood protection was transported, installed layer by layer and compacted. The construction of the massive block set, which consists of around 4,000 tons of large stones, was particularly challenging. The road has been open to traffic again since Christmas, and various finishing touches still need to be completed by the end of February.
