We are an owner-managed family business in its second generation. We have short decision-making processes and prioritise communication on an equal footing.
In his first year of training, Almir is working on the route of the A9 highway in Raron. It's clear to him why he started his apprenticeship as an EFZ bricklayer at the Volken Group this summer: "I like my job because it's pure craftsmanship and very exciting to boot. A bricklayer really has to be able to do a lot and be familiar with many materials. Every construction project is different, which I really like!" Indeed, bricklayers are versatile professionals. They build houses and commercial buildings, work in road and tunnel construction, help with refurbishments and renovations or with demolition. All in all, an apprenticeship at the Volken Group is very varied: you can get stuck in from day one and gain experience in a wide variety of areas over the three years of the apprenticeship.
We wish Almir continued enjoyment and well-deserved success in his job!
