Rapidly implemented: total rebuild of MGBahn Mattsand 2/2.

Single-track railroads are always bottlenecks. If they have to be rehabilitated, nothing works without temporary total closures on individual sections of the line. This was also the case with the total reconstruction of the Mattsand crossing of the MGBahn, which was not passable for about three weeks at the beginning of winter. After the Volken Group completed the preparatory work in early summer 2022, our specialists tackled the second stage together with Vanoli AG. Around 650 t of pavement have been laid, new tracks laid and work carried out on the catenary and safety system. Eight trucks, two rollers, one small and one large paver each and a Vanomag crane were used. The entire team and all the machines performed at their best in a very confined space, under great time pressure and in all weathers. Everything went smoothly - also thanks to first-class logistics.
