The new Fura Bridge takes shape

In the third part of the video series, we show how the formwork and reinforcement work as well as the concrete work on the Fura Bridge on the Simplon Pass is carried out.

Quality control by the Volken Group's internal building materials laboratory is essential for the successful realization of large concrete stages of over 200 m³. Precise coordination is just as crucial: the concrete must arrive at the construction site on time so that it can be placed in parallel using a concrete pump and crane.

Together with the Frutiger Group, the Volken Group is part of the Fura Bridge consortium commissioned by FEDRO to dismantle and rebuild the Fura Bridge.
