Project description:

The realized work is a tunnel structure that crosses a steeply rising slope. In the first phase, the terrain was excavated in vertical stages and continuously secured using shotcrete and anchors until the final excavation level for the foundation of the tunnel structure was reached. In the second phase, the drainage pipes were installed together with the tunnel foundations.

Subsequently, the tunnel walls were continuously raised. The solid concrete ceiling with the two tunnel portals formed the final stage. The tunnel walls were sealed and backfilled as construction progressed. Once all the work has been completed, the completed structure blends seamlessly into the new terrain.

Requirements:

  • Complex formwork due to curve radii, longitudinal gradients and various transitions
