Property description:
The project involves the renovation of the pedestrian crossings and the “Abzw. Bahnhof” bus stop on the H19 cantonal road between Brig and Furka Pass and Gemeindestrasse (Bahnhofstrasse, Dorfstrasse) in the municipality of Goms (Gluringen town center). The measures include the resurfacing of the H19 and Bahnhofstrasse, the construction of a new sidewalk on Bahnhofstrasse, and the removal of the bus bays on the H19 with corresponding adjustments to the sidewalks. The aim is to increase traffic safety for all road users and to make the bus stops barrier-free. A cantilevered concrete structure will be built for the sidewalk on Bahnhofstrasse and a retaining wall will be erected to provide access to the train station at the bus stop on the east side of Kantonsstrasse. The road surface and infrastructure pipes will be renewed and partially expanded throughout the entire project perimeter.
