The Stalden bypass—and with it, the “Steinschlag” section—is slowly taking shape. Currently, the excavated material temporarily stored on-site is being processed with a screening bucket to backfill the walls. While retaining walls and drainage pipes are still being constructed in front of the east portal, the first curbs and sewer lines have already been installed inside. Once the “Steinschlag” section is completed this summer, it will initially serve as a construction site access road for the contract lot located further east, before the entire bypass can finally be opened to traffic in 2023.
