I'm in my element on the building site: bricklayer's apprentice Ali Hayo.

If you want to become a bricklayer, you have two options. The path to becoming an EBA (Swiss Federal Vocational Certificate) takes two years and is primarily practically oriented. It is possible to start in the 2nd year of basic training. Ali Hayo, who started his training as a bricklayer at the Volken Group in the summer, also opted for this. "I chose this profession because I like working with my hands and I like working on construction sites." The second path is an apprenticeship with an EFZ (Federal Certificate of Competence). It lasts three years for bricklayers and you attend vocational school more often. Whatever a young person decides to do: After completing their apprenticeship, all bricklayers have access to the same further training. Whether Ali remains a bricklayer, becomes a foreman or a site manager or even further up the career ladder is up to him.
In any case, we wish him every success! Would you also like to enter the construction industry and complete an apprenticeship as a bricklayer? Apply to the Volken Group now, we look forward to hearing from you!
