Which stone fits best where? The masons of ancient Egypt were probably already asking themselves this question. Perhaps it was this fascination that prompted Jemy Naumann to start his bricklaying apprenticeship at the Volken Group this summer: "For me, it's one of the best professions. It's so varied and it's so much fun to work in a team. It would be far too boring for me in an office". No wonder, he also learns a lot of different things at the vocational college one day a week. In addition to mathematics, building materials science and technical drawing, lessons also include the subjects of company and environment, execution basics, order monitoring and more. Those who perform very well at school can also attend the vocational baccalaureate school during their basic training. This opens the door to a career in construction.
We wish Jemy Naumann all the best on his career path!
