To prevent the Baltschiederbach from overflowing: Flood protection

In order to protect the residents of Baltschieder from future storms and masses of water, the existing dam on the Baltschiederbach is being raised. The Volken Group is currently working on the middle dam. It is designed in such a way that if the protective dam overflows, the water can flow in the desired direction. A formwork is being built for the rounding in the lower part of the large dam. This special formwork is the work of a cooperation with the Schnidrig joinery from Visp. If everything goes according to plan, the protective dam will be ready in fall 2023.
