Project description:
In the run-up to the complete closure of the railway line in the Randa area, a temporary emergency loading facility for freight containers was constructed in Täsch. Since loading in Randa was no longer possible during the closure, supplies to the Mattertal valley had to be ensured via an alternative transshipment point. The project included the construction of the necessary loading areas, foundations, and paving work, as well as the adaptation of the infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient container handling. Due to the fixed start date of the closure, the project was subject to considerable time pressure. Precise planning, close coordination among contractors, and on-time execution were crucial to ensuring that the emergency loading facility could be put into operation in time before the start of the total closure. With the completion of the emergency loading facility, supply to the Mattertal was secured throughout the entire closure period.
Requirements:
- Work during rail operations
