Our teams consist of people from all over the world who work hand in hand with one another.
The forces of nature lurk everywhere, even here in Valais. The “rockfall and boulderfall” hazard map for the Grossstei-Rormatta area in Embden was recently updated. It revealed that many people in this year-round settlement live within the red hazard zone. To continue ensuring the safety of life and limb, the municipality has developed a corresponding construction project. Specialists from the Volken Group will carry it out in extremely confined spaces by the end of October 2022. In addition to a 55-meter-long and 3-meter-high protective embankment, they are also rerouting the Rormatte drinking water and wastewater lines, including a manhole with a pressure-reducing valve. In addition, they are widening the cyclopean masonry to create a new turning area, adding additional parking spaces, and widening the curve near the existing hiking trail.
We thank the municipality of Embd for this wonderful project and are doing our best to ensure that future generations can also feel completely safe.
