Rapidly implemented: Total conversion of the Mattsand 2/2 MGBahn.

Single-track railroads are always bottlenecks. If they have to be renovated, nothing works without temporary total closures on individual sections of track. This was also the case with the total reconstruction of the Mattsand crossing of the MGBahn, which was closed to traffic for around three weeks at the beginning of winter. After the Volken Group completed the preparatory work in early summer 2022, our specialists tackled the second stage together with Vanoli AG. Around 650 tons of surface were laid, new tracks were laid and work was carried out on the overhead line and safety system. Eight trucks, two rollers, one small and one large paver and a Vanomag crane were used. The entire team and all the machines performed at their best in the tightest of spaces, under great time pressure and in all weathers. Everything went smoothly - also thanks to first-class logistics.
